First Time Guests

Every weekend, our staff and volunteers seek to create a safe, secure, engaging, fun and irresistible    environment for your child. The following policies and procedures have been put in place to help ensure your child's safety and care. Information specific to these areas is below.

Registration

Our environments for children are located just off our main lobby. Our Guest Services Team will be available to assist you in the registration process, answer your questions, and personally escort you to the environment designed especially for your child. You will need to complete a First Time Guest Card. You may download this card and bring it with you in order to save time. Environments open 15 minutes prior to each service.

Security Tags

After your information  is entered into our secure database, a security tag will be issued to your child and a matching tag will be given to you. To ensure security, your child will not be released without presentation of your corresponding tag.

Lost Tags

In the event you lose or misplace your tag, please return to the Island Kids Guest Services kiosk with proof of identification in order that a replacement tag may be issued.

Secure Facility / Emergency Procedures

Facility

All entrances and rooms in Island Kids are monitored before, during and after each service.
The doors are closed and locked 15 minutes after services begin and are reopened at the end of each service. During the service, a staff or host team member must escort anyone who needs access to
the children’s areas.

Access

When you visit, you and your child will receive corresponding numbered security tags that are matched when your child is released to you.  Please note that you will receive two security tags which allow you access to our children's areas. Members of your group that do not have security tag will not be allowed in our secured areas. In addition, for the safety of all children, we ask that parents check in their children at the door, instead of going into the classrooms (unless one of our volunteer staff invites you in).

Communication During Services

In the event we need to contact you during service, your security tag number along with your child's name will be posted on the video screens in the auditorium. You will need to report to the Island Kids Guest Services desk to meet one of our staff members.
In case of an emergency, procedures are in place to keep your child safe.  Emergency procedures      are posted in each room.

Volunteer Screening

All volunteers go through a detailed screening process and criminal background check.
