Serving the Most Vulnerable

Serving Communities are dedicated groups of people committed to living life among and serving our community's most vulnerable people groups. By pouring their time, talent, resources, and relationships into ministry to the vulnerable, they live out Jesus' "good news to the poor" and make the Kingdom of God tangible in the margins of our society. Serving Communities are high commitment teams that are dedicated to ministry and to each other.

Homeless Community at Mercy House

Mercy House is a homeless church located in downtown Dallas. They are open Saturdays and Sundays to provide the local homeless community with breakfast and a hot lunch and allow them to attend a church service. Opportunities are available to join a team that provides a meal and spends time with the Mercy House community once a month.

Community in Action for the Rehabilitating and Elderly

Listen to Your Stories

The elderly and disabled represent a vulnerable population in our culture. God calls us to stand with the vulnerable, to care for them, love them, and give them a home in our community. One way Springcreek does that is by reaching out and entering community with the elderly and rehabilitating at Winters Park Assisted Living and Memory Care.

Some CARE members hold weekly Wednesday Bible Reading and Book Study groups, while others host BINGO on the first and third Saturday of each month, play cards with residents, and make regular room visits to further relationships. In addition, CARE holds quarterly special events. In the past, they have taken residents to soccer games, held Christmas parties, and held Baseball Opening Day parties. Above all, they befriend residents and enrich the life of the people they meet.
