Be the Hope! Be the Light! Be the World!

Our purpose is to bring women of all ages together to nurture relationships and growth and to reach out to our friends and family with the message of God's love. There are many opportunities available to help you along this journey to becoming the woman Christ created you to be. These opportunities include bible studies, workshops, mentoring programs and other ministries for your involvement in the church and community.

Monday, April 16, 2018, 7:00-8:30pm (doors open at 6:45)

About the Guest speaker: Marquita Burke-De Jesus
Marquita Burke-De Jesus is described by friends as a lover of passionate justice, unbridled beauty, and unfiltered sarcasm. She breathed her first breath in sunny Los Angeles, California but spent most of her life in the stickiness of Houston, Texas. She travels extensively speaking on the subject of advocacy, arts, and justice. In 2012, she founded the Silence the Violence campaign, a movement that focuses on abuse education and prevention. When she isn’t writing or speaking, you can find Marquita rehearsing with her dance company or struggling to update her 1940s cottage located in McKinney’s Historic District with husband Daniel, and daughters Emmy and Elle. Radically Ordinary is her first book.

  • World Vision 6K Walk for Water
Hosted by: Real Springcreek Church MOPS
    Saturday, May 19, 2018
  • 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Audubon Park in Garland
Cost: $50 includes T-shirt, bib, and hot dog meal

Every day, over 800 children under 5 die from diarrhea caused by dirty water, poor sanitation, and unsafe hygiene. But on May 19, you can make a difference by joining World Vision's 6K Walk for Water.

Why 6K? It’s the average distance people in the developing world walk for water every day — water that’s often dirty and causes disease. In the Global 6K, every step you take is one they won’t have to because your registration fee will provide clean water for one person in need.

Last year, Global 6K participants walked or ran to bring clean water to more than 34,000 people. Join us this year and help free even more children from a life spent collecting dirty water that makes them sick.

Join us as we not only walk to raise money for clean water but bring our kids along beside us, so they can walk for clean water for other kids around the world!! Raising Globally minded children starts now!

Following the 6K, our Springcreek participants and their families are invited to celebrate with us!  We will have hot dogs, chips and drinks in the park!  Non-participants may buy tickets to purchase hot dogs & chips (.50 each)  Bring a dessert and side dish to share. . We'll also have face painting, balloon animals and other fun activities planned!

Extra tickets (for hot dogs and chips) available for purchase in the Information Center in the lobby or online.

Once you register online, you will receive a confirmation email with the link to our team page so that you can register with World Vision.

LAST DAY TO REGISTER IS MAY 6, 2018!
